After relocating to the United States, he served his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at New York University Medical Center/ Weill Cornell Medical College (1996). Furthermore, he conducted a renal pathology fellowship at Washington University Medical Center in Seattle, WA. Dr. Stokes received board certification in anatomic and clinical pathology from the American Board of Pathology.
