Michael B. Stokes, MBBCh, attended the National University of Ireland in Dublin, Ireland, and received his Bachelor of medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees (MBBCh) in 1992. After relocating to the United States, he served his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at New York University Medical Center/ Weill Cornell Medical College (1996). Furthermore, he conducted a renal pathology fellowship at Washington University Medical Center in Seattle, WA. Dr. Stokes received board certification in anatomic and clinical pathology from the American Board of Pathology. His areas of academic interest include the morphologic classification of medical kidney disease, dysproteinemia-related renal disease, and drug effects on the kidney.
